The project, lead by Nubiral account team, commenced with a comprehensive discovery phase, involving the identification and prioritization of applications for migration. Detailed data collection across various teams, including networking, application support, database management, and cybersecurity, laid the foundation for a strategic and well-informed migration plan.
A detailed assessment of each application’s requirements, dependencies, and compatibility with cloud infrastructure was conducted. AWS foundational environments were established, and specific migration plans for each application were formulated. Leveraging AWS EMP, applications were transitioned to EC2 instances, focusing on upgrading operating systems and ensuring functional compatibility. Successfully migrated databases to AWS RDS or EC2 instances, considering upgrades and compatibility.
Nubiral ensured secure and efficient connections to new EC2 instances, both from the internet and intranet. Also conducted testing and validations with the application support team in collaboration with end-users across different environments, focusing on functionality, performance, and security in the new cloud environment.
Applications went live in the AWS cloud environment with focus on Operational Excellence, emphasis on regular progress tracking, thorough documentation, and agile methodologies, adherence to AWS security standards, ensuring secure data transfer and access controls.
Focus on maintaining application uptime and resilience through AWS’s robust infrastructure, optimization of application performance post-migration, leveraging AWS’s advanced technologies.
