About the client
The client launches a virtual wallet app through which money can be loaded from a card, virtual or bank account. This function aims to recharge transport cards from anywhere in the country, send and receive money or make payments with a QR code.
In addition, it allows the purchase and sale of dollars by consulting the price of the day.
Needs
The disruption of equipment and services caused a lack of availability on the video streaming platform, directly affecting the customer experience.
This situation generally leads to the potential loss of the user, with the consequent negative impact on business performance.
Solution
Nubiral analyzed the client’s problem and proposed that the application be divided into two layers. For the application layer, the services used included an Application Load Balancer to distribute traffic evenly among servers with EC2 instances to handle high demand.
For the database layer, two services were proposed: ElastiCache (Redis Flavor) to handle frequent queries or requests, and Aurora Postgres, due to its ease of scaling, handling selections and high-volume traffic, and also the ability to perform a failover to a secondary node without affecting the performance of the applications or the end users.
Results
The client was able to obtain the approval of the Central Bank of Argentina regarding the regulation of services provided to end clients associated with core baking hosted in the AWS cloud.
