Needs
The company is seeking a provider to accompany them in implementing their entire data strategy on Microsoft Azure’s public cloud. The objective is to create a robust and scalable structure to support the loads of various applications that may interact in their flow, as well as replicate other sources of information used for decision-making. Therefore, there is a possibility of evaluating the replacement of the current architecture with the aim of reducing platform costs, democratizing the use of information, and automating the information cycle as much as possible. Additionally, the architecture needs to be prepared to integrate new sources of information and be able to support, in the medium to long term, the initiation of advanced analytics strategies for the organization.
Solution
Nubiral proposes to implement a Big-Data environment to meet the needs outlined by Bodesa.
The project is divided into 2 modules, where the first will be based on the initial assessment. In the initial assessment, the structure and analysis of the data will be generated using data mining tools for data collection and table generation.
In the second phase, the necessary infrastructure will be implemented to execute a complete production environment, and then a data ingestion model will be developed in Azure DataLake. Additional services such as training and extended support will also be offered. In this regard, the key feature is the ability to work with structured and unstructured information, in different analytical engines, and with the integration of a data lake to achieve the corresponding analysis to create adjusted KPIs based on reality.
A third phase will remain, and this will be the client’s responsibility for the time being, which involves creating dashboards that will be automatically fed using information collected from different data sources. Source files will be uploaded to the repository, where they will be automatically taken to update the database and the dashboard. The system has the option to automatically collect those files or data from the source if necessary.
It is important to mention that as part of the project, and in accordance with the client, during the project execution, the Nubiral team will accompany the client to define and adapt Azure Governance to their subscription.
Results
The client achieved a 300% improvement in response times, resulting from the automation process, especially in the data collection process. Additionally, complete independence from the BI department was achieved by the user areas. They currently have total freedom to consume information in various formats as needed.
