In August 2023, Toyota successfully migrated their SAP ERP on premise to the AWS Cloud, marking a transformative journey toward enhanced performance, cost efficiency, and security. The project, which involved the migration of critical applications such as SAP S4/HANA version 1709, Web Dispatcher, Solman, among others, showcased remarkable achievements and positive outcomes.
A meticulously crafted plan addressed crucial areas, from, AWS account segmentation, VPC Configuration, Enhance Database replication strategy, address Backup and storage, re define DRP backup policy, infrastructure migration, security enhancement, and operational alignment, ensuring a smooth transition without disrupting ongoing operations.
A comprehensive, long-term cloud adoption strategy was crafted. This strategy was tailored to align with Toyoya Argentina’s business areas, providing a roadmap for seamless integration and optimal utilization of AWS cloud services.
Nubiral created separate AWS accounts for Development, Quality Assurance, and Production environments, ensuring a structured and secure cloud architecture. Utilized AWS RAM to generate and share subnets within Toyota’s Non-Prod VPC, enhancing network segmentation and control.
Established a robust VPN Site-to-Site configuration for S4/HANA database replication, ensuring data integrity and reliability. Transferred backups seamlessly to Amazon S3 buckets, enhancing data resilience and accessibility. Also integrated and reconfigured NATs to resolve AWS IP addresses efficiently within Toyota’s existing AWS infrastructure. Installed Endpoint Protection on all servers and conducted security audits, affirming adherence to AWS security best practices.
Nubiral developed custom dashboards for real-time monitoring, coupled with proactive alerting for key performance indicators. Implemented a Pilot Light Disaster Recovery Preparedness model for the Production environment, incorporating cross-region database replication for heightened resilience.
