For Latin America’s leading event promoter and the essential arm of a global ticketing leader, technology is not just support—it’s the backbone of their business. Their joint infrastructure, processing millions of transactions and event operations in real time, was constrained by an aging on-premise environment that was difficult to scale and vulnerable to risks.
Security and compliance: Modernizing the infrastructure to meet robust standards such as CIS Benchmarks and reducing the attack surface was imperative.
Non-negotiable business continuity: The biggest challenge was executing a large-scale migration without disrupting daily operations. Ticket sales and event management could not stop for even a second.
Operational complexity: Managing a legacy environment limited the agility required to respond to the demands of a high-speed business.
A migration built on security and zero downtime
Nubiral designed and executed a migration plan to Microsoft Azure that went far beyond a simple “lift-and-shift.”
It was a strategic transformation focused on rebuilding a resilient and secure infrastructure from the ground up in the cloud, following the best practices of the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF).
Secure reconstruction, not just migration
Instead of simply moving existing virtual machines, we rebuilt workloads on hardened Windows Server and Ubuntu images aligned with CIS standards. This proactive approach minimized vulnerabilities from day one in the cloud.
Ensuring Operational Continuity
By leveraging Azure Migrate for discovery, mapping, and dependency assessment, we executed a phased migration with constant validations. The result was a complete success: zero downtime throughout the process, preserving full availability of ticketing systems and backend services.
Database Consolidation and Optimization
We migrated and consolidated on-premise databases to Azure SQL Managed Instance, a managed, scalable, high-performance platform that improved speed and drastically reduced administrative complexity.

The new infrastructure was designed as a digital fortress, applying access policies and traffic segmentation to safeguard the organization’s most critical assets.

Azure Bastion: To provide secure, controlled access to virtual machines, eliminating public internet exposure.
Microsoft Defender for Cloud: For continuous threat protection, security configuration assessments, and proactive recommendations.
Azure Firewall and Application Gateway (WAF): To manage network traffic, prevent application-level threats, and enforce granular access policies.
Secure Virtual Networks: To segment traffic flows and isolate critical workloads.
